SUSEES stems from a synergy between EERA Network 28 ‘Sociologies of Education’ and a well established group of educational researchers that focuses its teaching and research agenda on Education policy and practice in Europe and beyond. The first two editions of SUSEES have been realized by a consortium of international partners: the EERA Network 28 – Sociologies of Education (http://www.eera-ecer.de/network28/); the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II (http://www.scienzesociali.unina.it/en_GB/home); the IRPPS – National Research Council Italy (http://www.irpps.cnr.it); the SAGE Centre – University of Strasbourg (https://sage.unistra.fr/en/); the École normale supérieure de Lyon (http://www.ens-lyon.fr/en/english-ens-de-lyon-269761.kjsp).
The first edition of the EERA Network Summer School on Sociologies of education from 21st to 24 September 2015 has taken place at SAGE, University of Strasbourg. A group of 20 early career researchers, post-doc, and Phd students coming from EU and selected over almost 100 hundreds applicants from all over the world have attended the summer school. The summer school envisaged four days of open lectures, workshops, and discussions on the topics of sociology of education and higher education.
The Second edition of the EERA Network Summer School on Sociologies of Education has taken place from 4th to 7 July 2016 at the Centro Congressi CLA, University of Napoli ‘Federico II’. A group of 25 early career researchers, post-doc, and Phd students coming from EU and selected over 65 applicants from all over the world have attended the summer school. The summer school envisaged four days of open lectures, workshops, and discussions on the topics of sociology of education and social theory.
